Last updated: 1 November 2026. Version: 2026-11-01.
These terms apply when you use SVG Variants and each time you buy a credit pack. You accept them when you create your account, by ticking the box on the sign-up form, and again before each purchase (see section 7). We record the date and the version you accepted. Please read them together with our Refund policy and our Privacy policy.
1. Who we are
SVG Variants (the site svgvariants.com and the application app.svgvariants.com) is the service described in these terms. In these terms, "SVG Variants", "we" and "us" mean the operator of SVG Variants; "you" means the person who uses the service.
One address for everything: contact@svgvariants.com. Write to it for support, refunds, privacy requests and reports of abuse or illegal content.
Credit packs are sold by SVG Variants. They are paid in cryptocurrency, and the payments are processed by our payment processor, currently NOWPayments (see section 6). The host of the service is named in our legal notice.
2. Words used in these terms
- Account: your personal space on SVG Variants, opened with your e-mail address.
- Project: an SVG file you upload, with its recipe and the files generated from it.
- Recipe: the settings you build in the editor for a project, such as colour palettes, variant sets and the background.
- Edition: one image of a collection, drawn from the recipe.
- Generation: the production of the files of a number of editions, which you start by confirming a quote.
- Credits: the units in your account that pay for generations.
- Pack: a number of credits you buy with a one-time payment.
- Paid features: the features listed in section 4 that need an account with a pack to generate files.
- Files: the SVG files you upload and the files SVG Variants generates for you (SVG files, PNG images, JSON metadata, rarity statistics, thumbnails and ZIP archives).
- Payment processor: the company that processes your cryptocurrency payment for a pack and confirms it to us, currently NOWPayments.
- Consumer: a person who uses SVG Variants for purposes outside their trade, business or profession. A business user uses it for their trade, business or profession.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your country if it is higher.
- One person, one account. Your account is personal: do not share it, lend it or sell access to it.
- Give an accurate e-mail address that you read. We use it to write to you about your account, your purchases and the service.
- You must verify your e-mail address to activate your account: we send a code to it, and you enter that code in the app with your password. Temporary (disposable) e-mail addresses and addresses whose domain cannot receive e-mail are not accepted.
- Keep your password secret. If you forget it, you can change it with a code sent to your e-mail address. Tell us at once at contact@svgvariants.com if you think someone else is using your account.
- Each person receives the 100 free credits only once. They are added after you verify your e-mail address (see section 5).
4. The service
SVG Variants is an SVG Collection Generator. You upload a layered SVG file, build a recipe (colour palettes, variant sets, background), preview editions, then generate a collection: SVG files, PNG images and optional JSON metadata, which you download as ZIP archives. The files are meant for NFT collections, digital art and print-on-demand.
SVG Variants only generates files. It does not mint NFTs, deploy smart contracts, upload files to IPFS, connect to wallets or list anything on a marketplace. What you do with the files, and on which platform, is your choice and your responsibility (see section 8).
You choose the output type before each generation:
- SVG only: one vector file per edition.
- PNG only: one PNG image per edition.
- NFT collection: a PNG image and a JSON metadata file per edition, with the SVG file as an option, and rarity statistics for the editions you export. In each JSON file, the image field holds the local file name of the image: you replace it with your own link to the hosted image before you mint.
- Print: PNG images at 300 DPI, sized in pixels for print products such as mugs, T-shirts, stickers and posters.
What costs no credits
Creating an account, importing SVG files, editing recipes, previewing editions and downloading files you have already generated.
What costs credits
Generating editions. The cost depends on the output type (see section 5).
Free and paid features
You can try every feature for free in the previews. Some features are paid features: to generate files that use one, your account needs at least one pack bought and not fully refunded. We may also unlock paid features for testers.
- Free features: recolouring by colour in the Colours tab, and two outputs: SVG only, and PNG only at 1024 px.
- Paid features: everything else, namely layer selection (palettes on a layer, hidden layers and layer strokes), variant sets, custom metadata traits, pixel art, the collection background, PNG at 2048 px, JSON metadata (NFT collection), the SVG option and print files.
Generations cost credits with free and paid features alike (see section 5). If a generation needs a paid feature that your account does not have, it is refused before any credit is taken. We may change which features are free or paid for future generations; a generation you have already confirmed is not affected.
If you are a consumer, you keep the legal guarantee that the law gives you: if the service does not work as described on this site, write to us, and the remedies set by law apply.
5. Credits
What credits are
Credits are a prepaid right to use the generator. They are not money and have no cash value. They are personal: you cannot transfer, resell or exchange them, and you can use them only on SVG Variants. Money is paid back only in the cases set out in our Refund policy.
Free credits
You receive 100 free credits once, after you verify your e-mail address. They are valid for 180 days from the day they are added. We may withdraw them if they were obtained by abuse, for example by opening several accounts.
Bonus credits
Once per account, if you have bought at least one pack that was not fully refunded and your balance reaches 0 after credits are taken for a generation, we add 100 bonus credits. They are valid for 180 days from the day they are added. They have no cash value and are never refunded. Like your free credits, they are used before your packs. We may change or end this offer.
How long credits last
- Paid credits are valid for 180 days from the purchase date of each pack.
- Expired credits are lost and are not refunded.
- Credits are used in this order: your free credits and bonus credits first, then your packs in the order you bought them.
How credits are spent
- Importing, editing and previewing are free.
- The cost per edition depends on the output type. It is shown on our Pricing page.
- Before each generation, you see a quote with the number of editions and the total in credits. Credits are taken from your balance only after you explicitly confirm that amount.
- Downloading files you have already generated is free.
- Running the same generation again costs nothing.
- The demo project costs no credits, up to 20 editions. The rules on paid features in section 4 still apply to it.
If a generation fails
If a generation fails because of a technical error, including a server restart while it is running, the credits taken for it are returned to your balance automatically. They come back as credits, not as money.
Changes to costs
The cost of a generation may change. The cost that applies to a generation is the one shown in the quote you confirm.
6. Prices and payment
Packs may not be on sale at a given time; when they are not, no pack can be bought. The packs on sale, if any, are listed on our Pricing page and at checkout.
| Pack | Credits | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Mini | 400 | €4 |
| Creator | 1,000 | €9 |
- Each pack is a one-time payment. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.
- Prices are in euros. The price shown for a pack is the amount you pay. Taxes are handled as required by applicable law.
- Before you pay, you tick a box to accept these terms and our Refund policy, and to ask for immediate access to your credits (see section 7).
- Packs are sold by SVG Variants and paid in cryptocurrency: BTC, ETH, USDT (TRC-20), LTC or SOL. The payments are processed by our payment processor, currently NOWPayments.
- When you open a payment, the amount to pay in the coin you choose is calculated from the price in euros. It is shown with the payment address and the network. Send only that coin, on that network: funds sent in another coin or on another network can be lost.
- Your wallet may charge a network fee to send the payment. This fee is not part of the pack price and does not go to SVG Variants.
- Your credits are added once the payment is confirmed. The time this takes depends on the coin and the network.
- Before you pay, make sure that paying with cryptocurrency is allowed where you live.
- You pay from your own wallet. SVG Variants has no access to it.
- We may change pack prices and the packs on sale for future purchases. The price you pay is the one shown when you open the payment.
- When a payment is refunded, fully or in part, the matching credits are removed from your balance in proportion to the refunded amount, as far as your balance allows.
7. Withdrawal and refunds
In short:
- Within 14 days of buying a pack, you can ask for a refund of the unused part of that pack. The refund is the price you paid for the pack, including any tax, multiplied by the credits of that pack not yet spent, divided by the credits in the pack.
- Credits already spent are not refunded: a generation is delivered when you confirm it.
- After 14 days, money is refunded only where the law requires it.
- If a generation fails, its credits come back automatically.
- Refunds are sent in the cryptocurrency you paid with, to an address you give us.
Before you pay, you tick a box to ask for immediate access to your credits and to confirm that credits you spend are not refunded if you withdraw. By ticking it, you also accept these terms and our Refund policy.
If you live in Morocco, the 14-day rule above replaces and goes beyond the 7-day withdrawal period of law 31-08. If you live in the European Union, this is how your 14-day right of withdrawal applies: your credits are available at once because you asked for this by ticking that box, and if you withdraw within the 14 days, the credits you have already spent are not refunded. Our Refund policy gives the details, a worked example, how to ask, and a model withdrawal form.
8. Your content and the generated files
- You keep all rights to your SVG files and to the files generated from them. We claim no ownership.
- You confirm that you have the rights needed for everything you upload.
- You give SVG Variants a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, analyse, transform and render your files, to operate, secure and improve the service. This licence ends when the files are deleted.
- We do not guarantee that generated files are original, that no one else makes similar files, or that they can be protected by copyright, trademark or other rights.
- You are responsible for how you use and publish your files, for example on marketplaces and print services, and for respecting trademarks and the rules of those services.
9. Acceptable use
You must not:
- upload files designed to attack or overload the service, such as scripts or payloads meant to run, external entity (XXE) tricks, entity expansion or decompression bombs, malformed or polyglot files, or files crafted to exhaust the server;
- bypass limits, quotas or the credit system;
- open several accounts to collect free credits;
- access the service by automated means, scrape it or load test it without our written permission;
- resell or share access to the service;
- upload or generate illegal content;
- upload or generate content that infringes the rights of others;
- upload personal data of other people without a lawful basis.
When you import a file, SVG Variants cleans it automatically: it removes scripts, external links, embedded HTML and similar elements, and it rejects files that are unsafe or too large. Design tools often add scripts or links to files, so such a removal alone is not a breach of these terms. Sanctions are for deliberate or repeated attack attempts and for the other breaches listed above.
10. Moderation, suspension and closure
If you break these terms, we may, depending on the case:
- reject a file;
- send you a warning;
- suspend your account;
- close your account.
We may suspend an account at once, for example when the security of the service or of other users is at risk.
When we restrict or close your account, we tell you the reason, and you can reply to contest the decision.
Blocking an account is a right these terms give us. Today, restrictions are applied manually.
Credits when we close an account
When we close your account, its credits are lost. Money is refunded only as set out in our Refund policy.
Reporting illegal content
Anyone can report illegal content or abuse to contact@svgvariants.com. Please explain what the content is and why you think it is illegal.
11. Availability and storage
- There is no guarantee that the service is always available: interruptions can happen, for example during maintenance or because of a fault.
- There is no guarantee of how long your projects and generated files are stored. They may be deleted, for example when an account is inactive.
- SVG Variants is not a backup service. Download and keep your own copy of the files you need.
12. Liability
- If you are a consumer, we are liable towards you as the law provides; the limits below for business users do not apply to you.
- We are not responsible for damage caused by your misuse of the service, by third-party services (the payment processor, marketplaces, print services) or by events beyond our reasonable control.
- If you are a business user, our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid for packs in the 12 months before your claim, and we are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost profit or lost business.
- Nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law gives you as a consumer and that cannot be excluded by contract.
13. Closing your account
- You can close your account at any time by e-mail to contact@svgvariants.com, from the e-mail address of your account. There is no button for this in the application yet.
- Download the files you want to keep first.
- Unused credits are lost when you close your account, unless you are still within the 14-day refund period of a pack: then you can ask for the refund of the unused part of that pack (see our Refund policy).
- Your data is then deleted without undue delay, except the records we must keep: payment and credit records are kept as long as the law requires, up to 10 years.
14. Changes to these terms and to the service
- We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the last update.
- The version in force when you confirm a purchase or a generation applies to it.
- If you do not accept new terms, stop using the service. You can close your account at any time (see section 13).
- We may add, change or remove features, output types and formats at any time.
- We may change, suspend or stop the service, in whole or in part. Money is refunded only as set out in our Refund policy.
15. Law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the law of the country where the operator of SVG Variants is established.
- If you are a consumer, you keep the protections that the law of your country of residence gives you and that cannot be excluded by contract. You can also go to the courts of your own country.
- If you have a problem, please write to us first at contact@svgvariants.com.
- If you are a business user, disputes go to the competent courts of that country.
16. Other points
- If a part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies.
- These terms are written in English.
- We may transfer this contract, with your credits, to someone who takes over SVG Variants. You cannot transfer your account or your credits.
- How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy policy. Who publishes and hosts SVG Variants is in our legal notice.
Questions about these terms: contact@svgvariants.com.
